Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique. However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem-he just can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! Every time a promising villain appears, he beats the snot out of 'em with one punch! Can Saitama finally find an opponent who can go toe-to-toe with him and give his life some meaning? Or is he doomed to a life of superpowered boredom?

The Graphic Library - Sara Campbell
Apr 25, 2020ONE has an undeniable sense of humor that really makes his stories enjoyable. The story is a bit quick, though, and not much time is dedicated to Saitama's backstory other than the one glimpse we get of the crab monster, but maybe we will get more later on Saitama is a funny guy and his journey to find self-actualization is an interesting one. Genos seems one dimensional at this point, but hopefully that will change in coming volumes. ONE's art style stylized in that Saitama as the One-Punch Man hero is purposefully drawn very simplistically, possibly to downplay his abilities. Other characters, such as Genos, are highly detailed.
