    There are quite a few narrative time jumps in this story, but Aki handles them fairly well. This series started with a massive time jump from Ruri already enjoying the lap of the Dragon King in cat form, then moved back to explain Ruri's life and her transportation into this other world. In volume two, we finally catch up to where we started this whole thing in the beginning of volume one. The middle of this volume has a little bit of narrative "spinning wheels" where Ruri is idling living and sort of feeling bad about not taking action against Asahi. The last chapter of this volume, Ruri finally decides to spring into action, which results in a fairly heart-wrenching cliff-hanger. Read Full Review
