May 10, 2021In this volume, we finally get a great glimpse into Hanako’s backstory, which readers and Nene have been eagerly seeking for the past two volumes. We also get to explore a new mystery, the 4pm Book Stack, which has a creepy element like the other mysteries we've seen so far. We also learn of a deeper problem plaguing the school, that someone is corrupting the mysteries, prompting them to attack students. This is one of the main issues Hanako has been trying to work out, in a round-about way with Nene's help, and this really ties together the main action of the story so far. I have a sneaking feeling that Hanako's plan will end up backfiring, either by betrayal or other nefarious means, but he has noble intentions at this point. It's enough to keep readers entertained and the volumes flying off the shelf. Read Full Review
