I've read carefully your review of House of X #5, and generally, I share your point of view. But unfortunately, I cannot give the same notation as you. In fact, I would have give a 8.5, but because of one element, my notation drop to 5.5, which is not the pass mark. This element is the resurrection process. Here is this reason explained. The problem is that the process, even if very well explained, greatly complex, and well thought, only create a clone of the original person. It is said both by X and in the explanations of the resurrection process that when it come to the mind, the primary function of cerebro is: "...copying the mind --the essence, the anima-- of any mutant..." Also, in the explanation of the process, the words "copies" and "backup" are used multiples times. And these backup are redundant. They exist at multiples locations for security. The result is that at the end of the process, we are in front of clones. Ok, maybe almost perfect clones, but still clones. They are now copies of their original self. New people with their own individuality. The originals are still dead. For examples that they are not the originals, they always exist at the same time as their backup. If X would want it, he could create a replicate of the original, even if it is not dead. The fact that he doesn't do it doesn't change that fact. The backup by itself is complete and suffice to create a new copy of the original. And it's only logic that this backup could be used multiple time to create a serie of copy. There's also the question that, to be considered the same person, there should alway remain something of the original, body or mind/soul. By example, Tony Stark who rebooted his brain with a backup, after erasing it to remove all knowledge of the SRA, was still the same person. There always have been a link between the body, the mind and the backup. This is not the case in the resurrection process of X. The body have been rebuilt completely, and the mind is a backup. There's also another thing that bother me. It's the almost religious status of all this story. It's the first 1.5 point I remove. So, as a result, three of the most important characters (Jean, Scott, Logan), who have just been resurrected through great efforts, are now dead again and replaced by copies, or clones if you prefer. I would hope this situation corrected in the near future. But according to the dithyrambic review everyone give to House of X #5, I wouldn't count on it... Final verdict 5.5 out of 10. The resurrection process create copies of the original self. Also, there's a to much religious aspect around everything in this series.
