This was fun escaping back into this world, as I got to relive all this magical world, and dip back into the Halliwell Manson. The story by Erica Schultz has all the heart, fun, and mystery that the show had. The art by Maria Sanapo is both realistic and entrancing. Overall, a great first issue and an excellent value addition to the canon. Read Full Review

Charmed #1 is a solid start. This creative team knew how to bring us back into this story without feeling like they had to take us all the way to the start. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good book about witchcraft. Charmed is the full package, satisfying with much that this new book series has to offer. Read Full Review

The art on the cover does not match the art inside the comic. It has to be said the drawn characters bear a good resemblance to their real life counterparts. Whilst it is a bit odd actually, at first, you'll get used to it once you get in the story. The story is enthralling but short! If you are used of seeing every story in one go in the series, this will leave you with a bit of a bothersome cliffhanger. But all is well, all is well, for the sake of the story really. It is a nice way to make sure to have you hooked enough to buy the next copy! And it works, I was convinced" Read Full Review

For what it is, it's an okay teen read. You'd have to be familiar with the characters to follow along with the story, as it doesn't go into much detail with background info. If your teen is into magic and such, however, or they are a fan of the show, it may be a good choice. Read Full Review

If Charmed television fans need their fill of the Halliwell sisters, then Dynamite's Charmed #1 is a good issue to whet your palate, but if you are looking for this comic to bring something new to the franchise, then you'll be sadly disappointed. Charmed #1 does a great job at showcasing the lovable chemistry between the sisters, but brings a generic villain along for the ride. Read Full Review

A new charmed series! And it’s not amazing! Shocker!

I love Charmed, I grew up watching Charmed. And I couldn’t walk away from at least giving this new series a shot. I skipped out on all the other comics they’ve done for the show, but I wanted to give this one a try.

Was it disappointing? No. But did I have high expectations? Not really.

I struggle with Charmed because there has been a significant amount of time between now and when the show aired and so I think they could seriously do some cool things with the property. But they won’t.

I would honestly love it if creators decided to pick up from the season finale of season 3 and try to tell the story that the writers might have tol more
