It's always great to see the return of interesting characters. The Ultimate X-Men stories have been fascinating but they almost feel as if they've been all over the place. We've seen the death of many characters so having Havok return was a pleasant outcome. Because of the different storylines/characters that are featured, this issue doesn't pick up where last issue left off. You can easily jump in here without having read the last few. There could be some confusion as what the full intentions are for Havok but this is something that might not be picked up right away. This issue got me both excited and a little confused but I can't wait to see what the future holds for the X-Men in the Ultimate Universe. Read Full Review

    IGN - Benjamin Bailey May 23, 2012

Paco Medina is great, as usual. His pages are clean and defined. There is no action whatsoever in this issue, and Medina handles it with ease. The characters all look great and there is plenty of detail when it's necessary. Medina knows when to drop the background out and when to draw every single pad in a padded room; he gives the book a flow that is sorely needed. If the writing could rise to the level of his artwork, this would be one awesome comic book. Read Full Review

Cyclops and Havok might have been introduced at the wrong time, but you still see the potential in these characters for them to be interesting in this issue. I just wish they were introduced at a different time, that way we could of enjoyed these characters more in this issue. I say don't pick this issue up, but I still recommend you to pick up previous issues of Ultimate Comics X-Men because it is a great series. It just had one bad issue. Read Full Review

I was really high on this book at first, but since the opening arc it has been nothing but a disappointment. Read Full Review

All told, I'm glad to see this book changing direction with a new writer coming on board next month. While Spencer had some good ideas, for whatever reason they never quite came together into a satisfying read and it will be good to see if someone else can turn the book around. Read Full Review
