In the year 4002, a cyborg samurai named Rai struggles to find his morality, while the nanite-filled supersoldier Bloodshot is on a mission to save the citizens of Earth. Will they work together for the greater good? All signs point to no.
Oh, and did we mention there are also dinosaurs on the loose and powerful animal-human hybrid mutants? Good luck with that, Rai.
Love smart sci-fi and engrossing world-building? Dan Abnett (Aquaman) and Adam Pollina's (X-Force) FALLEN WORLD has you covered.

These 20 pages seemed to fly as I could not stop reading. I cannot wait for issue number two where an epic battle clearly lies ahead. Dan Abnett yet again has set a plot perfect for lots of action and deep moral issues. This paired with Adam Pollinas stunning art made for an issue I wish had more pages. Not only are the conflicts relevant, its just outright interesting. I was looking forward to this series and admittedly havent been disappointed. Be sure to check this out before the next is dropped. I highly recommend the series, and I give it a perfect score! Read Full Review

Fallen World #1 is a great re-introduction to the world of Rai and 4000 A.D.. This issue picks up from the perfect spot with the heroes of the revolution on New Japan facing new challenges on Earth. I really appreciate Rai's new situation because it allows an examination of his character from a different angle. It also gives a face and voice to the residents of his sector. I love Bloodshot but I'm concerned his role will only be to serve as a host for a new enemy in this story arc. However, Gilad and the Geomancer add another entertaining element to the start of this series. I can't wait for the next issues. Read Full Review

As a launching point for a new miniseries, this is a really good comic. But Fallen World #1 is also a launching point for a new era of Valiant's future time line – and it takes that challenge and [insert random sports analogy here denoting massive success]. This issue has me genuinely excited for what comes next. Read Full Review
