I'm not normally a fan of magic based stories unless there's a healthy dose of sword with my sorcery, but there's something about this character, and this comic, that just has me excited. Punk Mambo has that X factor that so many comics just fall short of, and it is glorious. For a great comic, and a series that may be read through independently of any of her previous appearances. Punk Mambo #3 is easily one of the best comics I've read this month – don't miss this book. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Nathan Simmons Jun 25, 2019

This was a more somber and dread-filled issue than previous installments, introducing a villain who represents the perfect opposite of Punk's ideals. Read Full Review

Hitting the just over halfway point and Punk Mambo shows zero signs of slowing down. Bunn is ramping up the stakes with each and every issue and this one is no exception. One can only hope this will lead to Bunn taking on Punk Mambo again in an ongoing series or at least another mini with how crazy good this book already is. Read Full Review

The artwork by Adam Gorham and Jose Villarrubia is beautiful as always. With this series, they created a vision of areas of the world that we have seen before, but never like this. The characters are so well envisioned, it's tough to find anything wrong with them. It's just about perfect. The combination of a great story, characters, and artwork make this series a great read. It's super fun, very suspenseful and kind of violent, which makes for a great story to me! Definitely check it out! Read Full Review

The Brazen Bull - Dave Robbins Jun 26, 2019

It looks like Punk Mambo is in over her head. The stakes have become much too high, and she can no longer afford to be the cynical outsider going at it alone. Read Full Review

Beyond The Panel - Jideobi Odunze Jun 26, 2019

It's rough when you meet your match. Worse when you don't realize this until it's too late. By the end of Punk Mambo #3, the score is definitely against Punk Mambo, but now those points have shifted to the true mastermind behind these kidnappings and acts of evil. The game has now changed with a better understanding of what is at stake, and the rules that have been set. Read Full Review

Horror DNA - James Ferguson Jul 11, 2019

Some new challenges arise for Punk Mambo just when she thought she was getting ahead. That just makes her more dangerous as she has even less to lose now. As shocking as it is to see her get to this point, I'm eager to see what kind of Hell she's going to rain down now that her back is against the wall. This is the fast-paced supernatural thriller I didn't know I wanted. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Shamus Clancy Jul 1, 2019

The premise of "Punk Mambo" remains tantalizing, but it feels a little more Avril Lavigne than Patti Smith at this point. Read Full Review
