Perfection. It was hard to not compare Col. Weird's journey into para-zone as a gradual loss of his humanity to Dr. Manhattan's story in Watchman.
Of the exiled heroes, only Colonel Weird can leave the mysterious farm where they've spent the last ten years. But the confusion of the Para-Zone may hamper their escape more than it helps!

The cover is perfect but not so much inside. Considering how top grade and engaging the setup issues have been, this conclusion felt terribly messy. Rushed wrapup and weaker art than before.The only high was seeing it saying -if not so much showing- how much GA and BC are clicking together.

Percy has a good understanding of the importance of Black Canary's and Ollie's relationship; their relationship drives the book. What causes it to stumble is the jarring change in art. Byrne does not complement Schmidt's style.

The Injection, seemingly as the villain, is truly creepy. The conversation between it and the group is cold, calculating, and a piece of its creators. The book looks great and reads great.
Simeon and Brigid are trying not to get killed in New York with Vivek, Maria is pulling her hair out, and Robin is changing his mind. The last time he did that, the Injection was born.

This issue had too many plot threads. President Blades, Carrol, Major Drum, and Charlotte all share the limited space with a flashback crammed in. The best issues of this comic were those that focused on one or two plot threads. Trying to setup/continue four with a flashback is too much for a 22 page comic.
Charlotte has taken matters into her own hands in order to get baby Astra back from the Builders, and it just might cost her life. Major Drum continues his confession, shedding some light on the early days of the Clarke mission, while ex-President Carroll calls an old friend for some dirty business.
