This was a lot more Vita Ayala than Williams, I can always recognize her unnecessary verbal diarrhea that ultimately goes nowhere.

Nubia & The Amazons #2

By: Vita Ayala, Alitha Martinez
Released: Nov 17, 2021

The unrest surrounding Nubia’s ascension is rising fast! The politics of her new role and responsibilities as guardian of Doom’s Doorway have led to rumblings that she isn’t quite ready to lead. How can she prove her worthiness? As any monarch on Paradise Island would…an Amazon fight club!

Released: Nov 17, 2021

Faster than fate. As powerful as hope. Able to lift us all. For all his great power, Jon Kent can’t save everyone, but that won’t stop him from trying. How much can Earth’s new Superman do before this Man of Steel buckles? And when he does, who swoops in to save Superman?

So we all knew this was coming and we all knew Tom Taylor is as stupid as they come but we didn't know it was going to be this stupid. I mean, I expected some explanation as to why a character who has NEVER shown any attraction to boys and has been attracted to several girls his age would all of a sudden swing that way. Nope, he just kisses the pink-haired guy and that's it, we're supposed to buy more

Dude, a copy means you've replicated something. Conner ISN'T a copy, he's a COMBINATION of Clark and Lex. Search the dictionary for what "copy" means. Match is a copy, yes, he's Conner's copy. Conner is no one's copy. Ergo, he is the first half-human, half-kryptonian, not Jon. I am not wrong so yeah, I'm not going to admit I'm wrong when I'm not. You know when I was wrong on Black Manta I admitted as much. Seems like you're not man enough to do the same. No surprise there, honestly.

This is still kind of a messy comic to me. I understand what happened in it, but it wasn't an enjoyable read because of how off kilter everything is in this book for... generally no reason, it seems. I don't really want to go against the grain with this one, because I do enjoy a lot of what Morrison does, but I just found myself checking pages so often and getting a little frustrated when I realiz more

The fundamental plot is easy enough to understand - it just seems to be laid out in the most deliberately convoluted way possible. A juddery chore of a read. While DC may be convinced that Morrison is some kind of supreme genius, not all of us are equally convinced.

A nonsensical cluster F*@k is the best thing that can describe this mess of a comic book. Honestly this series went off the rails after a decent Season 1. I stopped caring after about 4 pages of this story. Nothing of importance was involved in this book. It was like listening to a 3 year old tell you a story they make up to hold your attention.

Finally this nightmare run is over. Maybe now Coates can go cry somewhere else that Peterson is more appreciated than him, not in our comics. If there was one guy I never would've put on Captain America, it was this guy. He hates everything about America and his entire run might as well have been called Daughters of Liberty, he never gave a damn about Steve Rogers. Good riddance!

This was awful from start to finish, at least the Daredevil parts. The whole "re-cid" (recidivist) drug that makes the prisoners antisocial and violent just so they can come back is cringey and very, very idiotic. It's not like the people ending up there were the most responsible citizens in the first place. This victim mentality is nauseously obnoxious. Then there's Cole North who blatantly says more

I mean, I saw it from the first issue, it was pretty obvious but people here called me insane because apparently if you try to read the messages that writers put between the lines you're nuts. Oh well. I've seen this happening more than once in comics but it was usually just artists drawing masks on characters' faces in situations when they weren't really necessary. Apparently Chip went all in.

Merlyn - Sep 8, 2021

What I don't get is why would you be so sadistic to remind people of all this horror instead of helping them escape it? We deal with this daily, we need to try to escape from it at least in fiction, why would you be so petty to remind people of this even in something they read mostly to escape from it. I just don't get it, you'd have to be a pretty shitty person, from my point of view, to do that.
