The first part of City of Bane is an otherworldly experience that expertly sets up what is sure to be the biggest, craziest, and most emotionally-charged arc of Kings Batman saga to date.

Batman #76 continues to highlight the complete control Bane has over Gotham while showcasing the desperation Batman and his allies feel. With career best work from the artists and King at the height of his run, this arc is a must-read.

Batman #77 puts the spotlight on Damian in a stellar issue that pushes ahead with the high stakes promises made from the start of City of Bane. The art team continues to triumph, and King continues to deliver on both action and emotion.

Batman #78 is a timely break from action, an emotionally resonant and visually-perfect vacation with Batman and Catwoman. King has built to this from the start, and Mann and Morey help flawlessly execute a pivotal chapter in this run.

Batman #79 completes the double-dose of BatCat content you always wanted. Kings writing and planning combine with masterclass art from Mann and Morey. Were reaching the crescendo of this run, and its nothing but peaks.

Batman and Catwomans return to Gotham does not disappoint. The pieces for a final showdown are falling into place perfectly. Seeing Batman in control of himself and wrestling for control of his city makes the book as exciting as ever.

Last Knight on Earth #2 ups the ante and expands upon the debut issue. An intricately-woven and daringly-epic tale involving Batman and a DCU apocalypse, this book perfectly balances mystery and insanity, all while featuring top-tier artwork.

This issue provides a cathartic conclusion to the murder mystery that brought The Spectre to Batman for help. Both characters shine as Tomasi continues to prove his ability to write top-notch Batman detective stories.

Another solid issue of Tomasis top-notch run. This one-shot highlights a fun and creepy reunion between Batman and Joker, with stellar art and an exciting epilogue of whats in the near future.

Detective Comics #1009 is a solid start to a brand-new arc. Deadshots reintroduction is a welcome one, and the artwork is a real standout.

Detective Comics #1010 is a good continuation of the Deadshot story arc. The change in scenery is welcome, the art is incredible, and Tomasi continues to nail small character moments throughout.

Tomasi has a strong grip on the Caped Crusader, and the change of scenery in this arc was exciting. The art continues to be a highlight of the book, especially in this satisfying conclusion of an escapade caused by Deadshot.

The return of Mr. Freeze is as it should be cold, calculated, and creatively executed. With writing that continues to impress and art as good as ever, this issue is a great sign of things to come in this arc.

This issue is jam-packed with action, stellar art, and witty dialogue. The story has taken a turn that a few months ago I never wouldve expected to see, but now eagerly await to see how it continues.

Justice League continues to change the state of the DCU in exciting ways, bringing together far corners of the Multiverse across time. The action, drama, humor, and bombast in Snyders run from its start remains as strong as ever.

Snyder and Co. continue to weave an intricate tale of epic proportions. Action, twists, and heart pack this book from cover to cover, making it an absolute page-turner. Out of this world art and an enthralling story keep this book at must-read status.

Tommy Gun Wizards masterfully blends crime, horror, and fantasy into an alternate history period piece thats captivating from cover to cover. The entire creative team has struck gold with a lightning in a bottle concept they execute perfectly.

Tommy Gun Wizards #2 brings escalation, action, and revelations. The creative team continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering a one-of-a-kind experience that exemplifies just how great comics can be.

Machine Gun Wizards #4 brings about the end of one of the best new series in comics. Seamlessly and perfectly blending genres while creating an enthralling new world with lively characters, incredible art, and fantastic writing. The conclusion is as great as the issues to come before, wraps things up in a satisfying manner, and leaves you wanting more and wondering what could come next.
