Penny Dreadful #2 |
Jul 22, 2016 |
The dialogue has certainly picked up from issue #1 and the illustration is even more striking this time around. The panels are covered in a scratch like texture that really helps to bring the severity of the situation to life. I've left out some key points for the story because while this is a review, I want you to go out and buy a copy and become immersed in this fantastic blood-stained story. Contained at the end of the issue is a great excerpt from The Art and Making of Penny Dreadful about series creator John Logan's struggles to bring vampires to life for the TV series. The art continues to be amazing and the story has certainly picked up. Issue #2 has proven that the rest of series will continue to be one crazy ride. |
