In Immoral X-Men #1 writer Kieron Gillen decides that even though the doors of Xavier's have been closed for years Mr. Sinister still needs some instructing. Leinil Yu's cover may show readers the guest professor, but the moral of the story may make you question the syllabus.

There is a lot of spoken emotion in Briaras the princess attempts to rationalize her situation. This leads to this first issue being a visual and narrated comic. The quick divergence of something familiar twists this comic book into a tragic tale. With no Aurora in this story, Briar looks to head into the dark thickets.

The Last Barbarian ends with Sylv, who has to bring Shadow along, taking a chance to change their circumstances. Maybe Maisley's warning is unnecessary; to keep her under the guild's control. Or has the young woman with multiple skills taken on too much even for her. Stopping progress or choosing to push past it. Sylv is going to show you who's the real savage.
