Aliens: Rescue #1
Jul 23, 2019 |
Aliens: Rescue #1 is a solid start to this story arch. It establishes Brand as a character all his own while still acknowledging his past. The writing and artwork definitely draw you in and leave you with just enough information to want to come back to see what happens next. The only minor disappointing thing about Aliens: Rescue #1 is that it does take it's time to get to the root of the story but it is well worth the wait. |

Army of Darkness/Bubba Ho-Tep #3
Apr 16, 2019 |
If your a fan of either Ash or Bubba Ho-Tep I highly recommend grabbing anyone of these issues. Even if you've never watched any of the movies these comics are never dull, full of laughs, creepy monsters and lots of Easter eggs worth digging into. |

Firefly (2018) #4
Apr 18, 2019 |
I highly recommend Firefly #4. The plotting is tight, the layouts are dynamic and the stylized look captures that neo-western feel of the tv show. It's also a solid read if you haven't watched the tv show. I look forward to see what's going to happen next. |

Firefly (2018) #5
Apr 26, 2019 |
With its attention to the rhythms of how its characters speak, at first, Firefly #5 might seem nostalgic. However, Greg Pak, Dan McDaid, and Marcelo Costa actually start to craft a narrative casting a deep shadow on the characters we've quoted, admired, and dressed up like for over a decade. It strikes a nice balance between having its own story and being a prequel. |

Firefly (2018) #6
May 16, 2019 |
With its attention to the rhythms of how its characters speak, how their pasts have impacted them and just the right amount of humor Firefly #6 adds perfectly to the ongoing story of our heroes. The comic could benefit from some real stakes but those are almost impossible with us knowing how our heroes end up. However, that is a minor complaint Firefly #6 strikes a nice balance between having its own story and being a prequel. |

Lumberjanes: Somewhere That's Green #1
May 30, 2019 |
The Lumberjanes: Somewhere That's Green #1 is a welcome addition into the 'Janes world. The writing and artwork add so much to the already beautiful and meticulous world of these spunky 'Janes. This is a sweet heartfelt comic definitely worth the read whether you've read any previously or if you are a brand new fan. |

My Little Pony: Spirit of the Forest #1
Jun 2, 2019 |
My Little Pony: Spirit of the Forest #1 is a great first addition in this series, however, it might be a little difficult to get into if you're not already familiar with the Cutie Crusaders. |
