Punisher (2016) #17

Oct 31, 2017

With the violent final showdown between Frank and a new enemy, we saw the kind of brutality we expect from the Punisher. The one thing I felt that could have improved the fight was more adversity placed on Frank. A few more injuries and handicaps just to show us he is the tough mother we know and love. Despite all odds, he keeps on kicking back. With a fitting conclusion to Becky Cloonan's exciting run, I dedicate this review to the memory of Steve Dillon.

Punisher (2016) #218

Dec 4, 2017

A pretty straightforward issue that sets up the story for things to come. With Castle now kitted up with some serious firepower, I can't wait to see what damage he will be doing. Hopefully, we see the Punisher soaring to unfamiliar heights, but what sort of attention will this new equipment attract for the vigilante and what happens when the mission is over?

Punisher (2016) #219

Jan 17, 2018

To see the Punisher in the War Machine armor is probably every fan's dream, he may not be as efficient as Rhoadey in the suit, but he is figuring it out pretty quickly. The dynamic between him and the armor's A.I. is kinda funny but keeps the humor low key to suit the character. Rosenberg and the rest of the team must be having a ball making this. Another beautiful cover by Clayton Crain too.

Punisher (2016) #220

Jan 18, 2018

The story is starting to get traction and the creative team has found the right mix of elements to tell the story well. Even after his mission is accomplished, there is so much more Frank could do with this suit. But first, he has got to get out of a rather deadly situation. Can't wait for the next issue!

Spider-Man / Deadpool #22

Oct 27, 2017

As a filler issue, it works, but it's almost exactly what you'd expect if you were given a short synopsis of the story. It's a tiny bit predictable, but at the same time, just what you would want to read. Hopefully, we will see a new more permanent creative team that can develop some more meaningful stories for the pair.

Spider-Man / Deadpool #23

Nov 17, 2017

Not the bromance you would expect from this series, but still had the quirkiness that comes with Deadpool. I am interested to see how the new creative team handles this new dynamic between the duo. That powerful and emotive sequence towards the end really defined this issue for me.

Spider-Man / Deadpool #24

Dec 21, 2017

It was a fairly fast-paced story this issue, that felt a little too quick. There didn't feel like much development between Spider-Man and Deadpool, the attention seemed to be taken away from them with the appearance of Husk. Which was be a welcome highlight and I am giving extra points for including her. Bachalo's quality art will always keep you interested though.

Spider-Man / Deadpool #25

This arc has been a bit of a distraction compared to some of the compelling stories we got from Joe Kelly. As I've mentioned before, he has a special way of developing relationships between characters. This should probably be taken as building to something bigger in the grand scheme of things and took both characters back to their ground roots. Hopefully the future pay off is worth it.

Spider-Man / Deadpool #26

Feb 15, 2018

I found the first Chameleon arc a bit lack-luster, but this single issue was like a palate cleanser. It was fresh and at the same time, it had classic character traits of what you'd expect. The imagery paired with the story was just right. The first few pages alone were amazingly spectacular! Really want to see a new black Spider-Man costume too.
