The Movement #1

May 14, 2013

Overall the book was okay. It is a good idea that could turn out to be something very intriguing and entertaining. The majority of the book is well written and the pacing is good. Gail Simone gets you intrigued with the idea of the movement and what they stand and fight for, but the characters so far are just not very interesting, however they easily could be. The art was average at best and at times felt more like earlier drafts that got into the book by mistake. Honestly, this book is entirely forgettable but I have some hope that this could turn out to be something enjoyable to read. Though I'll continue trying with it, it wasn't fantastic enough for me to disagree if you never buy it.

The Movement #2

Jun 21, 2013

All and all, this book is definitely forgettable, though I do feel it could be enjoyed. Gail Simone is a very talented writer, and though not her best work it is still an okay read. All around it can be pretty boring and I fear they might stray away from what initially caught me on the book, that being the whole hacktivist revolutionary ideal. The art is becoming too poor to tolerate, which is really the major drawback from this title. If they took Freddie Williams off this book I feel it could still be saved. If not, I'll bet here and now it doesn't make it half a year without the news of future cancellation. I'm personally debating whether to go past issue three myself.

The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys #1

Jun 30, 2013

The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys #1 is a, dare I say it, fabulous read! It offers everything anyone could really want from a comic with great writing and art all around. It feels like the creative team of this book definitely works well together, and I eagerly await more. This book has a great story and setting, interesting characters, great colors and consistent visuals. I personally have trouble finding flaw in this book, as a first issue or a normal one. I can't give it less than a 9.5/10, and am using some self restraint not to go higher.
