Amazing Fantasy (2021) #1
Jul 28, 2021 |
As you can tell from my gushing above, I really enjoyed Amazing Fantasy #1. Above all, Andrews' love for each hero is incredibly apparent and even though the characters are pulled directly from notable eras of the comic vaults, this book is very accessible and easy to recommend to new and old readers alike. |

Extreme Carnage (2021): Lasher #1
Aug 9, 2021 |
LASHER #1 was a fun read and, although action-packed, does leave me wondering when the stories will link up. With the next issue introducing RIOT to the fray 5 issues into this 8 issue run, my hopes are that the story becomes more centred to avoid the climax feeling rushed. That being said, I still enjoyed my time with this issue and would recommend it to readers who enjoyed previous symbiote events. |

Suicide Squad: Get Joker! #1
Aug 5, 2021 |
If you are looking for a book that will have you pondering life's big questions, this may not be for you. Suicide Squad has always been about having fun with the characters and this seems no different. Although there is nothing out of the gate that has me wowed, it's been absurd enough that I'm interested to see where Azzarello's Squad end up and I'll be picking up issue #2 when the time comes. |
