Scooby Apocalypse #30

Oct 10, 2018

This issue sheds light onto Daphne's past like the sun rising over some dark land. Captured beautifully by Pat Olliffe's and Tom Palmer's ghoulishly gruesome art, and by Keith Giffen's and J. M. DeMatteis wicked words, Scooby Apocalypse (2016-) #30 is like a new modern myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.

Supergirl (2016) #23

Oct 10, 2018

Supergirl (2016-) #23 starts slow with a lot of exposition, then picks up the pace as Supergirl begins her breakout of the Green Lantern Corps. Well-written and drawn wonderfully, the only thing that could have improved this comic would be some more depth to the secondary characters, as well as another setting or two to display how Supergirl truly is on a cosmic quest across the galaxy for the truth about Krypton's destruction.

Titans (2016) #26

Sep 26, 2018

Titans (2018-) #26 continues to follow the teenage team of young heroes as they progress through their current mission while also progressing as individuals and novice superheroes. A wonderful story including great words by Abnett, the only thing that would make this comic better would be more artistic execution from Peeples.

Titans (2016) #27

Oct 10, 2018

Titans (2016-) #27 is a comic that works for new readers because of all the setup for future stories stup, as well as the re-introductions and in-depth looks into each character's mindset and attitude when faced with hardship and adversity. The concept of loss and friendship is strong through and through, and I think the success of this issue will continue to drive this series forward in the weeks and months to come.
