Titans: Rebirth #1
Aug 1, 2016 |
Titans: Rebirth #1 wonderfully continues the story that unraveled with the DC Universe: Rebirth #1 and answers many of the questions that were left unanswered with the newly launched series. The collaborative team of Dan Abnett and Brett Booth sets an emotional precedent for every Titans fan and seemingly lays the foundation for something greater in the DC Universe. With great art and dialogue, Titan's Rebirth is a fantastic addition to what is already a great launch for DC Comics. |

Superman (2016) #4
Aug 12, 2016 |
Tomasi and Gleason continue to propel Superman in the new Rebirth Era with vivid and explosive imagery combined with emotional and personal storytelling. There are a few awkward transitions and Lois is used in a limited capacity. Superman #4 hits a minor speed bump in the fast paced story of the new Superman series. Although it may not have been the strongest book in the series, it still adds to the Superman story as we eagerly await the next installment. |

Superman (2016) #5
Aug 28, 2016 |
It's truly remarkable to see how DC was able to turn things around from the highly divisive New 52 series, largely in part to Tomasi and Gleason setting a high bar for the other titles. Lois and Jonathan certainly stand out and show how important supporting characters are in the Superman series. With the amazing artwork that truly elevated the Superman #5's storytelling ability, it will certainly be hard to live up to expectations the fans will want in the next installment. |

Assassin's Creed #10
Aug 15, 2016 |
Del Col and McCreery may have concluded the "Setting Sun" arc in a rushed fashion, but emphasized the importance of Charlotte's character growth. The lessons that Charllotte learned from Quila's story will surely play a vital role in her future. The twist that Charlotte faces at the end of the issue is surprising and certainly sets up the next issue. Assassin's Creed #10 contains great action and remarkable dialogue between the key characters, and sets up the next issue excellently. |
