Paul Cornell seems to have a good grasp of the “villain of the month” structure and is using it wisely to show reasons why Lex is as powerful as he is. Each month, Lex is forced to use something else at his disposal to best counter the villain that he is facing. The action in the books, however, still leaves something to be desired. I hope that Cornell can keep up the “villain of the month” momentum and at the same time push the boundaries to really introduce some action that coincides with the concept of the book.
