With strong scripting and artwork from start to finish, Black Widow #12 is another solid read from this creative team.

Well-scripted and visually engaging, Black Widow #14 is another solid issue from Edmondson and Noto.

Overall, C.O.W.L. #6 is a clever issue that uses the aesthetics and storytelling conventions of its setting to deliver is visually fun and thoughtful reading experience.

Overall, Captain Marvel #9 isnt a terrible issue, but it certainly isnt the best. It also isnt my favorite kind of story. While I wouldnt recommend this issue to readers outside of the Carol Corp., it is a lighthearted and silly adventure that some Carol fans are sure to enjoy.

It has a predictable villain and a paint-by-numbers plot, but the endearing nature of the story and its execution is what makes this issue a highly enjoyable read. Captain Marvel #10 is obvious fan service, but with a sense of heart at its core, it perfectly encapsulates Carols enduring popularity in recent years. This title has made a name for itself by serving standard cape book comfort food with a strong emotional foundation that dictates the stories being told, and it makes sense that the 100th issue special is no different. This issue is must-read for Carol fans.

Warm, funny, and visually pleasing, Captain Marvel #11 is just a good issue all the way around.

Del Mundos artwork once again makes this book. His fight scenes are intricate and beautiful, his line work refined and delicate. The soft, painterly development of space and form makes for engaging reading as man and machine clash in these highly-energized panels. Theres simply so much energy in every exaggerated gesture, extended finger and swirling strand of wayward hair, creating a sense of vibrancy from the first page to the last. Completed by the rhythm of Blackmans prose-like scripting, Elektra #8 is a beautiful issue and a highly enjoyable to read.

Tightly scripted with lots of lasting imagery, Elektra #10 may very well be the best series so far. Its creepy, well-paced, and it visually engrossing throughout. A very strong offering from this creative team.

With its intriguing premise and cliffhanger ending, Moon Knight #9 is an engaging read from start to finish.

Moon Knight #11 is a tight, well-paced read that continues to raise interesting questions about morality, justice, and vigilantism in the modern age. This thoughtful new direction under Wood has been a very satisfying to watch unfold, and will prove exciting to see in the future. Moon Knight is an already great series that has only gotten better, and if youre not reading it you are missing out.

Once again Wilson and Alphona bring their A-game. Wilsons scripting is strong and Alphonas pencils are as beautiful and energetic as ever, wonderfully complemented by Herrings palettes. Another compelling, visually engaging issue from this stellar creative team.

As ever Zdarskys rendering of her scenes is both humorous and heartfelt, and employs some meaningful imagery throughout. The appearance of Gillen as the director of Anas first porn is an amusing touch, as is the eight-panel splash of Anas career portfolio, true to the titles irreverent, tongue-in-cheek tone. He also manages to make Anas treks the Quiet/Cumworld specific and unique to her story, despite the recycled color and texture overlays that serve as visual shorthand, distancing her from Jon and Suzies shared experiences.

In the end, with the Sex Police closing in, the unglamorous and unspectacular intricacies of human drama is what continues to make this series such a compelling read. Fractions scripting is smart and funny, brought to the page by Zdarskys understated sense of visual storytelling. The emotional arcs of these characters are as real, unabashed, and organic as the depictions of sex and love, be it biological or conceptual, and keep the reader coming back for more.

While certainly a rousing premise, the uninteresting artwork leaves the whole issue a bit flat. Solid scripting on Paks end, but if the interior pages lived up to Stephanie Hans attractive cover artwork it would be an entirely different story. A decent issue, but not a memorable one.

This by no means is a slight to Gillen. His invention of fandom espionage deepens the plot considerably, and the introduction of Inanna opens the door to further intrigue. Inanna as a character fits well into this world, with his effusive personality, gaudy outfits, and plunging necklines. It will be interesting to see how he and this grimmer, somewhat more jaded Laura continue to play off each other.
