The latest ELEKTRA story, Reverence, is off to a fantastic and exhilarating start. Blackman and Del Mundo are going above and beyond with the creativity and it's amazing how well they can blend story, action and character in such a ridiculously fast-paced chapter. The issue never really gives you a chance to catch your breath, offering only a momentary pause before things get crazy and thrilling once again. Its story is consistently exciting and the artwork is never anything short of jaw-dropping. It doesn't matter how interested you are in Elektra because this is a comic that's pretty much guaranteed to win you over and make you want to see more of her world. Read Full Review
Del Mundos artwork once again makes this book. His fight scenes are intricate and beautiful, his line work refined and delicate. The soft, painterly development of space and form makes for engaging reading as man and machine clash in these highly-energized panels. Theres simply so much energy in every exaggerated gesture, extended finger and swirling strand of wayward hair, creating a sense of vibrancy from the first page to the last. Completed by the rhythm of Blackmans prose-like scripting, Elektra #8 is a beautiful issue and a highly enjoyable to read. Read Full Review
Story wasn't as strong as previous issues, but it's great to have Mike Del Mundo back on art. This issue looked absolutely gorgeous.
Another great issue. Shame that the story is coming to a close but it seems to be getting some closure as well before that.
Visually there is nothing like it on the shelves.
