Marcus F. Comic Reviews

Batman: Of Two Worlds is a flex for this entire creative team. Matt Fraction and Scott Snyder have crafted stories starring two Bat Boys who couldn’t be more different in style and tone. But their ethos, their indomitable will, and all-around badassery are intact, and we are much better off with both of them in our lives.

Hammerfist #2 is how you ratchet up the ridiculousness set by its first issue without sacrificing quality character and story work. There’s so much more carnage to be had, and I do not doubt that this team will deliver.

A quick, entertaining read with flashes of heart-stopping horror, and a strong protagonist that I wish was explored more. Condon and Ehrich picked the right artist for this story, and I hope to see more of this in the future. The door is wide open.

FINAL GRADE: 7.5Project Perseus is a fun, brutal sci-fi action series littered with memorable characters. It’s brimming with dynamic visuals and supreme confidence in its worldbuilding.

Here and now, the Unbelievables Universe is off to a strong start, and if their other ones are of any indication, we’re all in for a treat.

ThunderCats: Cheetara #1 is a solid first issue. It’s an easily accessible entry point for new readers, and a great introduction for a strong female character done with love and care. The art is crisp and expressive and I expect more work out of Andrea Arcari in the future.
