Rick Remender’s grindhouse spectacular kicks things into another gear as Mike Denton’s world has been turned completely upside down. Sep 29, 2026Hammerfist #2 keeps the pressure on with an extended escape sequence that allows Steve Epting to deliver some excellent visual storytelling. Rick Remender’s noir-heavy narration works particularly well as Mike learns the hard way just how strange and dangerous this town really is. The lack of answers makes the issue more of an action set piece than a plot-progressing chapter, but the relentless pursuit and hive-mind concept are compelling enough to keep the mystery moving. I like where this is going, plus Riemender has been on fire for the last five years or so. Very action packed issued and holy shit, does this dude take a beating.

This issue won't get you any further. It feels like a filler, ok the town is crazy and something is off. But we're not here for that... are we? Where's the freaking Hammerfist?
Personally I didn't like the build up. Next issue needs to do better. -
