As Punisher fan, you bring expectations when picking up a comic like this. The team up of Jimmy and Dan sounds really promising, as you saw as well.
After reading this issue I can see why some readers are not into it. It's different. The art style, the flow, the outcome,... My advise is to not overthink it and accept this storyline as new. It's a good comic issue and a good start of the more

After the first issue, I hoped for better... sadly this batman series is simply not meeting up the quality expectations of a main Batman series.
Sidenote: The art is flawless, as expected from JJ.
But the story, djeeez, it is so so unworthy starting from issue one, continuing in issue two.

If you're reading this review, you're wondering if its better or worst then the first issue. Well the start is better, clear, fun and then they fuck it up (again, haha).

My first encounter with Street Sharks.
It does reminds you like you're watching a 90's cartoon episode. The art is clean but not great, very cartoony of course. Story is just ok, great intro, a lot of chaos for the reader, bit over the top action and a classic ending. Cool.
Do I recommend this? No
Will you regret it? No

DC is obligated to cancel this comic.

Art is ok, story is ok, nothing special but you can't support this series. The end.

I almost bought this book - the art looks absolutely amazing after all - but after the latest developments concerning its author, I'm glad I didn't. I'm sorry that other people at DC have to suffer now because of him.

You can stir up some harmless controversy with stuff that's much less divisive. And in that case, you probably wouldn't cancel the book. If the book is really selling because of this debacle... well, that's really fucked up.
You're right. Someone with half a brain can generate harmless controversy. Then all that's left to think is that this person needs professional help. Unfortunately, morbid curiosity sells. For my part, I think RH fans ultimately won, since the comic's narrative quality is poor.
It kinda starts on a low note, but luckily it got better towards the end. You def can see the potential of a very fun and engaging universe but the next issues will have to crush it or I don't see a long future. Pressure is on

Good stuff! For me a bit tricky to read to be honest but it all comes together at the end.

It can't get better than this. If there was an 11 I would rate it an 11.
With the Ninja Turtles on trial for a murder they didn't commit, Casey Jones fighting for his life in a devastating coma, and the city overrun by Foot Patrol thugs, New York has but one hope to turn the tide: April O'Neil?
Too early to say anything definitive. But I have worries. One of the reasons Robin was created was to give Batman someone to talk to. Now Bats has an AI holographic Alfred. That doesn’t strike me as mentally healthy, especially considering the fact that there are 174,964 Bat family members Bruce can talk with.
This better not be another arc where Bats learns the value of family. Just more

Goghfacekilla, I read other reviews and they stated Alf was an ai, but some said he was in Bruce’s mind. Either way, not healthy mentally, so I think my point stands. Thanks for keeping me honest. There are a lot of people Bruce can actually talk to. That is the trap of the Bat family. We love the characters, but we love “loner” Bats. But remember, Robin was introduced within a year of Batman. The always a loner thing is a myth. But let’s see where this is going.
Quinn, you review and assessments were a lot more fun to read than the actual issue itself! 😂 ....I agree with many of your points. Especially the part about Batman "getting rebooted to a tired status quo that leaves out charm, fun, and originality." ...I honestly could not have said it better!
My summary is that it is OK, but I'm not sure they wanted to publish a batman #1 that is just OK...?
Art is fine, story is slow, the point isn't really there, for now. As this is prob a long ongoing series, they want to build up slowly...ugh
I'm seriously thinking of dropping this series already

Compared to She-hulk, this one shot is really good. It's on the same level as the imperial intro series and you don't want to miss this issue.
SPINING STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PAGES OF IMPERIAL! Blamed for the assassinations that have started an all-out galactic war, T'Challa will first need to survive a brutal assault from the World-Breaker Hulk and Amadeus Cho before he can even think about hunting down the true culprit! And all while his spacecraft spirals towards certain doom! Sounds like ...
The story so far... The space head honcho is assasinated. All fingers point to Space Wakanda, so most everyone goes to Space Wakanda to exact revenge.
Now... Space Black Panther runs away from Space Hulk and then tells all those everyones who were kicking Space Wakanda's ass that they need to surrender. And all but the Kree do.
Then Space Black Panther gets pissed off that more

I'm trying to capture this as a amateur reviewer:
- She Hulk means = fun detective work, not to serious reading. So JH nailed that one.
- Its has a completely different vibe than the imperial series.
- Art isn't wauwie
- Story wise its ok
Would I still recommend it? Only when you're buying into the whole imperial war event.
SPINNING STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PAGES OF IMPERIAL! Left behind on New Sakaar to keep the peace, Jen Walters discovers that in this savage realm, what's needed isn't a litigator, it's a liquidator! Fortunately, She-Hulk is accomplished at being both!
The art might just be a bit tough to swallow in the start of the comic if you're used to read only Spider-man comics. I assure you that this is an absolute amazing comic and you get used to the flow after a few pages. Not yet a masterpiece, but it has the potential!!
