When I ACTUALLY read the issue that explained MJ's bond to Paul, being trapped in an alternate dimension for FOUR YEARS as the only two people on that Earth and adopting two children, that would really make a whole lot of sense. She can have a bond with another person. MJ has dated many people. She almost divorced Peter. Twice. This isn't out of the ordinary. This is also very realistic. She thought she was stuck, again for YEARS. Incels really need to get over the Paul thing.

You don’t know who MJ is for one she would’ve waited for Peter as for the stuck thing Paul is the one who made the device so if she felt like Peter would never comeback which is proof already this isn’t how she would be she could’ve asked him to make another device. Second Paul helped kill people in his world so MJ choosing to be with him makes her look stupid especially over Peter. Third she gave up on Peter super fast it hadn’t even been a full year and she already gave up on him.

Also they did not almost divorce twice they separated because she needed time because she had recently been kidnapped but hell she didn’t give up on Peter then or fall in love with her captor so more proof current MJ is out of character but when they were separated for a couple of years neither of them dated anyone else because they were miserable without each other and they came back to each other. So yeah it is out of character for MJ.

Yes usually a book might drop after the first issue but if the series is good they tend to actually stay in the higher rankings when a book is dropping from the top to the bottom isn’t really a good sign.
