This is such a good addition to this already spectacular story. All facets of this issue will have you glued to it. I recommend taking your time when reading this issue. Study the dialogue and pair it with the art that goes with it. Together they make this a captivating story panel by panel. Check out The Amazing Spider-Man #22 for yourself! Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

Amazing Spider-Man #22 feels like a necessary closure more than a triumphant finale, hustling Peter back to Earth while wrapping multiple character arcs in limited space. Kelly injects humor and warmth where he can, especially through Glitch and Raelith, and plants meaningful seeds for Captain Kintsugi and the post–Death Spiral landscape. Still, the compressed pacing and rotating artists make several resolutions feel abrupt. The issue succeeds in repositioning the board, but the rush keeps it from landing with full emotional weight. Without the fanfare of anything conclusive, The Amazing Spider-Man #22 is a flat bookend to Peter's journey home, its potential cut short by a willingness to play things mellow as we find ourselves barrelling towards the crossover event Death Spiral. Read Full Review

Amazing Spider-Man #22 scatters Peter’s return across too many loose ends, from clone scraps to Osborn whispers, without forging high-impact drama or stakes to justify its page count in your stack. The chaotic plot drifts nowhere decisive, art inconsistencies jar the ride, making it a pass unless you’re chasing every web-thread blindly. Read Full Review

The jumping to conclusions anger didn’t really make sense, outside of that I overall enjoyed the read. The last couple pages were done very well.

This issue felt like a total rush job. Joe Kelly’s storytelling has been pretty solid lately, but not so in this issue. I understand why Marvel keeps this as a bi-weekly book…the $. However, in order to improve quality they really need to convert to a monthly cycle.

Why is it so hard for Joe Kelly to tell a coherent story lately ? This story reads like this- he took Peter’s arrival back home, a clone battle with Ben, Norman depressed, a sick alien who needs medical help , and Peter returning to Aunt May… and tried to make it work. It doesn’t. A scattered mess moving at a frenetic pace. No time for moments to settle in. Art that shifts due to 3 artists penciling it. This book needed to slow down and have way less going on. Terrible pacing just killed this book. Man Joe better redeem himself on the next storyline.but just reading the solicitations… I don’t want another damn symbiote. Do better Joe.
