One has to ask, does this person even like comics? Can't find a single positive review in their history. Pretty obvious that they're a troll and I wish this site would do something about it.

AIPT - David Brooke
Apr 22, 2026Amazing Spider-Man #27 closes out Death Spiral with intensity and strong character work. It is not just about Spider-Man fighting for control of his body, it is about Peter Parker fighting to hold onto who he is. Joe Kelly leans into that internal struggle while still delivering symbiote chaos and high-stakes action. The shifting focus away from Torment may disappoint some, but the emotional core and lasting consequences help this finale land with impact. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Henry Davis
Apr 22, 2026The Amazing Spider-Man #27 concludes the violent threat of Torment in splashy fashion, leaving itself mostly open-ended to the scars this story has ripped open in our intrepid heroes. Whether or not this story will become impactful is left in the hands of what comes next in the form of multiple epilogues, but as far as pure spectacle goes, this issue was a hit. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez
Apr 22, 2026Amazing Spider-Man #27 brings the Death Spiral crossover to a close with lots of action and a big twist in the end. That said, Joe Kelly’s concept is generic; some characters show up without adding to the story, and the twist ending only works if Marvel follows through, which is highly unlikely. Read Full Review

Ending wasn’t perfect but this event as a whole was a step in the right direction for the book.

Yeah I wasn't a fan. It's not bad but feels rushed. All in all, it felt like Kelly wasn't as interested in this as others.
His script is fine, how Peter beats Carnage is great, but otherwise, whole event feels lackluster.
I was hoping for drama, conversations and tension and all I got was... not a lot.
And why do they insist on hinting FlashXMJ...

Well it happened the event ended. While I thought we would have a huge exposition dump all issue on origins and motivations of the killer (maybe even an explanation of his powers last issue … nope. We get nothing. Just a generic story. A dismissed killer who now has no powers. This issue reads like Joe just wanted out of this story. He’s not alone , I want out also. This event was so lack luster. No motivations explained and now Torment is dead. If you’ve bought the entire story it’s over $40. How utterly disappointing.

I realized that I remember next to nothing about this story. Barely anything stood out aside from the death of an awful character and now it's gone out with a whimper. I think i'm done with Spider-Man until those in charge are gone.
