WAR RAGES ON IN NEW YORK CITY!
Black Cat enlists Richard Parker's aid in the Sinister Six turf war...and Spider-Man gains a surprising ally!

Ultimate Spider-Man #18 is an excellent return for Peter Parker as the lead. With how things continue to move forward with the Sinister Six plotline having Spider-Man back in action helps to elevate the urgency of what's going on. All the developments in this issue are reminders of why this is one of the best comic books on the market right now. Read Full Review
Ultimate Spider-Man #18 balances emotional stakes and high-octane action while deepening its cast and teasing bigger things ahead. Despite a somewhat forced rush to get Richard in the right place, it's a visually stunning and thematically rich chapter that pushes the story forward in meaningful ways. Read Full Review

Checchetto delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the character designs and the overall visual style of the issue. Everything and everyone looks amazing on every page and panel. Read Full Review
Ultimate Spider-Man #18 is a banger of an issue and one of the best in a while. Hickman and team progress the story well and don't forget to give us some much-needed Spidey action, however brief it may seem. The issue ends on a heck of a cliffhanger with betrayal playing a major part. I fear for the future of one of the Parker family! Read Full Review
The story continues and escalates in pretty darn exciting ways. There are a lot of pieces on the board and all of them are being moved in entertaining ways. Read Full Review
Plot
Harry Osborn arrives at Peter's secret location to join him in stopping the Kingpin. He leaves Uncle Ben and JJ Jameson with MJ, but no one realizes that Richard has sneaked onto Harry's plane using the nanotechnology in his suit.
Harry explains to Peter everything about Gwen and the Mysterio cult she belongs to. Peter is amazed, while Richard, hidden away, doesn't believe it either.
Peter and Harry arrive in New York and, in their suits, work together to stop several criminals and warm up their muscles.
Gwen is meeting with Quentin Beck, Robbie Robertson, James Wesley, and a mysterious woman. All five are members of this cult. They are all upset by Gwen's actions to save Harry, but the myste more
A masterclass setup issue with some familiar teenage stuff. The art even stepped up a little notch, guess there was still room there... simply amazing.
Very excited about this ongoing universe! The question is, why can't ASM be like this?
Another ultimate entry to the best Spider book on the shelves.
I sure hope that the next issue it suddenly skips a month ahead, and the revelation about Richard and Felicia is in flashbacks. But it's nice to see Marco Checchetto back, and we get more details on Mysterio cult, as well as Peter and Harry teaming up.
This book keeps being frustrating
I liked most of the stuff, art especially was amazing.
MJ is still two-dimensional perfect wife who doesn't seem to have any problem that Peter is going away to fight the same people who kidnapped him for months last time he was in NYC
Jonah found out Peter is Spider-Man off-screen, and that's great. I would hate to see any kind of interesting writing for characters that could lead to something.
And the cliffhanger is once again exciting, but since the next issue wont happen immediately after this one, we gotta wait for month to see how month has passed and we are in entirely different setting while characters talk about how crazy last month was.
