Finally Simon Spurrier's finally of The Flash and we can get some actual Flash stories. So great to read the Flash fam again where everyone is written naturally to the characters. Though its a shame this book gets bogged down over explaining KO (like so many other books this week), its at least great to have a fun romp with Bart and Wally.

Waid's been putting out some great stuff with his return to DC but his events have all been a mess with each one having so many lingering effects that just convolute things so much it takes away from any intrigue or suspense from the next event. The concept of following a bunch of temporary heroes isn't doing it for me even though he's trying to add some depth to how they feel, it mostly fell flat more

Though the explaining the process for getting everyone off planet is fairly boring (thank god not brutally boring like Teen Titans), Williamson at least has some good dialog in those moments. The end with Lois and Prime was fun and should make for some good issues to come.

Another month, and another month where I wonder where the good writer I was told Dan Watters was?
Seriously, the comic has good art, good colors, look, he brought in a cool villain, and...... nothing. Nightwing doesn't do anything, Bryce and the lesbian cop get all the attention. The main "plot" develops so slowly that sometimes I wonder if it even exists.
Please, a new writer, and it do more

I personally don’t like the art. I think the problem is that watters is writing to his perception of the artists strengths and not his own strengths. The book just doesn’t work.

I made an account just to dog on the sheer stupidity of this comic.
This stupidity I reference is ultimately displayed in Ryan North's character's portrayal of Doctor Doom during this issue. I swear, just writing that gave me an aneurysm because of the betrayal of more

I liked North's FF run but have been struggling with this event but this reveal that Doom is sacrificing the people of Latveria to make the world better is garbage and totally goes against the character. Still the best Batman book out there. I wasn't happy with Fraction's last issue, and then I read this. We have a mystery, a viable threat, and a father-son budding relationship that is hampered by duty. I hope that he doesn't draw it out like the Momento story. Six issues is good.
