The Justice Society of America is putting the pieces back together after its tumultuous run-in with the Injustice Society. But before the dust can settle, the Spectre returns with only one driving mission: VENGEANCE!
Absolute Superman #19
King Shazam has risen with a power unlike anything Superman has faced before. What connection does he have to Brainiac and the mysterious Father Box? Plus, another classic character has made their Absolute debut, though it remains to be seen if they’re a friend or foe of the Man of Steel…
Fraction obviously didn’t read any of Damian character development in the pat 3+ years
Batman #9
After making a sinister deal with Mayor Isley, Commissioner Vandal Savage initiates “Operation Peregrine,” sending his brutal TUCO squads across Gotham City on a singular mission: Bring in the Batman! Batman and his team must destroy and abandon their hideouts, safeguard their data, and escape the long arm of the law… but not everyone will make it ...
There were things I liked. Steph learning Tim was going on a date with Bernard. She reacted normally for once. Basically she had to tell herself it was cool. Now that’s real. You’re a girl and your boyfriend leaves you for a guy. You’re not allowed to pout because that’s homophobic, but it really hurts and is humiliating.
But, again, this run jumps all over the place. The plot takes a p

I don’t know why DC even bothered with the new number One for Fraction’s run? It’s obvious that it’s just a continuation of the previous run.
The art and plotting really nailed the sense of tension and urgency of the story yet the same issues I've had with Fraction's run would still take me out of the story.
The whole regression of Damian throughout this run wasn't needed for Fraction to have a moment of Bruce realizing he needs to work on his parenting wasn't needed and could've been handled better. The bollards joke and Ba

I went in knowing this was intended to be funny but this was just as bad as Green Lantern Corps has gotten.

Fantastic Four #8
THE INVINCIBLE WOMAN, PART THREE! It's back before everything changed, and I'm still in grad school - just a kid, really. My name is Susan Storm, and I've just become the Invisible Girl. Our first encounter was with the Mole Man - he was the first time we found it necessary to use our powers, to truly become the Fantastic Four. Reed prayed it would...
Uneven art and storytelling but still a decent read with some fun moments. I'm a big fan of Loeb's previous Batman work so this isn't up to his usual quality but it's way better than the unreadable H2SH.
Batman / Wonder Woman: Truth #1
Batman and Wonder Woman team up for a classic caper brought to you by superstar talent writer Jeph Loeb (Batman, Superman/Batman) and artist Jim Cheung (Justice League)! The Lasso of Truth has been stolen, and the Caped Crusader and Amazon Princess race to ensure a safe return before it falls into the wrong hands. You won’t want to miss the afterma...

The main story was a huge disappointment both writing and art wise. I was pumped for this when I heard Meltzer was writing this but both the story and interactions between the characters didn’t do it for me. The backup stories were a mixed bag as expected with the Spider-Man Noir as the strongest.
Spider-Man / Superman #1
THWIP, THWIP AND AWAY! Fifty years ago, DC's Man of Steel met Marvel's friendly neighborhood wall-crawler, and the world of comics has never been the same! Fantastic start to North's run and totally captures the feel we've been missing since Adam's run. The minor gripes I had with the first issue are all gone and seems North really found his voice for the series now. Can't wait for more.
Flash #32
Okay, so maybe Flash’s world has gone crazy, and maybe he’s having to run around the city several times a minute just to save people from themselves, but at least things can’t get worse, right? I don’t know why people still use that rhetorical construction. Every time you say, “At least things can’t get worse,” you’re just setting things up to get ...
