Javier Rodriguez absolutely killed it with brilliant art throughout this series and the stylized 70's look complimented the story to perfection. On top of the art, this was far and away the best thing Tamaki has written and it seems she's best fit for magic related characters or out of continuity stories as most her writing gets so ridiculous and silly for the characters she's writing (Batman, Bar more

Zatanna: Bring Down The House #3
It's out of the Casters' lair and into the fire as Zatanna takes a tumble down the rabbit hole-although the Order of the Rabbits themselves would tell you they prefer the term "bunny well." Thena Khole and Cody Blue have been living the high life since they robbed the richest woman in the universe, but they put a price on their heads when they did so, and the galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter is now...
I don't know what to do with this issue. We are introduced to Verity Pennyworth. Apparently, Alfred, instead of having a unique relationship with, first, Thomas Wayne, and now Bruce is a secret member of a society that creates servants for heroes. Forget the fact that Alfred worked for the family before there ever was a Batman. But he now has a heretofore unknown niece.
And Bruce didn't

Batman #12
Six of the world’s deadliest killers have descended on Gotham City at once—but who hired them, and who’s the target? Surely, it can’t be the Batman… As the Caped Crusader races to uncover who set this deadly plan in motion, the late Alfred Pennyworth provides a gift from beyond the grave with the arrival of a brilliant new ally to the Bat-Family at...
Batman is one of the best characters around. just like Spiderman. it's the Pinnacle of comics. so why on both books are these writers awful? Fraction cannot tell a story! We in fact get fragments of multiple stories. all started. not finished. many abandoned. and Matt has the balls to throw in one more with a groups of assassins coming to Gotham to kill Bruce. Finish just one plot point Matt F more

Good issue and was glad we were given a reason why the Spectre was insignificantly jumping from host to host. I like the conclusion with Ted taking the burden on of hosting the Spectre yet it does feel inconsequential with how in control he is so I hope we get some satisfying progression or answers to justify it.
JSA #22
The wrath of the Spectre has ravaged the JSA. As the dust settles, one hero will stepup and take on the mantle of the Spectre, but will they be able to control its fury?
I enjoyed the most of the issue aside from the wasted pages dedicated to the assassins, but when you take a moment to actually think though a lot of the scenes things fall apart. At least he's finally got a grasp on writing Damien but the whole middle of this book was a slog. I hope he finally starts connecting and progressing all these lingering plot threads as it's criminal to waste Jimenez's ta more

Excellent issue and Kal has fully come into his own as a beacon of hope full of compassion. My only gripe was that there was a lot of saying how much the kryptonite was killing him yet he's totally fine standing and embracing Metallo at the end.
Absolute Superman #22
Superman will stop at nothing to see the universe’s most vicious madman brought to justice. But before he can get his hands on Brainiac, Superman will have to go through Metallo, a man with Kryptonite in his veins. “Get Brainiac” begins here, kicking off the march to a game-changing blockbuster issue #25!
X-Men #30
DANGER ROOM: PART FIVE! The X-Men have weathered everything the Danger Room has thrown at them - and now it's time to turn the tables. To me, my X-Men.
Justice League: Knight Vision Special #1
The Justice League has offered a number of villains amnesty, allowing them to prove they’re on the side of the angels. But what they didn’t see coming was the void that would leave in the world of super-villains! Batman and Lex Luthor must work together to investigate a Justice League villain who wants to fill that void, capitalizing on shifting pr...
Batman / Superman: World's Finest Annual: 2026
The World’s Finest attempt to have a relaxing night out with Jonathan Kent and Alfred. Also, with Lois Lane’s current investigation putting her in Intergang’s crosshairs, Batman steps in to provide Lois backup—but as Bruce Wayne, and a...
The splash pages were a chore to get through but I liked the story once it got rolling.
Superman Annual: Year One Thousand
At the end of DC K.O., Superman became King Omega with the powers of a god. But after pushing Darkseid back to the Absolute World, Superman rejected the Heart of Apokolips…and went missing. Now the story of where he went can be told! The future was infected by Darkseid and his Legion—leaving a trail of death and disaster in their wake—including the...
Taylor's story was a fun romp but that back up was awful. I love art and artists, but that was the most pretentious nonsense and was a painful grind to get through.
Detective Comics Annual: 2026
Batman has been falsely accused of a political assassination on a distant planet, and someone has been sent to track down the Dark Knight and bring him to justice—someone with a special talent for hunting. That’s right, Lobo’s come to Earth with a bounty on Batman! Now, in the clutches of the Main Man and being carted across the cosmos to be judged...
This series was a pleasant surprise and was consistently solid. The abrupt jump forward near end to the conflict felt off though and I wish there was another page in between showing what actually happened.
Wolverine: Weapons Of Armageddon #4
THE EXPLOSIVE FINALE LAUNCHES THE MARVEL UNIVERSE INTO ARMAGEDDON! All of the pieces are falling together - PRIMEWARRIOR's attempt to create the next great super-soldier has brought together some of the past's greatest successes, from WOLVERINE to NUKE to DAVID COLTON, A.K.A. Punisher #4
BATTERED, BRUISED & BLOODIED! Frank Castle is on the run - from TOMBSTONE, from JIGSAW and from the ghosts of his past! Like a wounded animal with hunters flanking on all sides, Frank will have one choice: FIGHT OR DIE!
Really good issue with a minor gripe for how the turtles reacted to Shredder feeling off base with current continuity. Yang's doing a solid job mixing in classic and new characters and coming up with some fresh new ideas.

After the shocking events of TMNT #20, the 300th issue special, death becomes a thing of the past as “The City That Never Dies” begins!
