Massive exposition dumps abound and flashbacks. Boring generic villain. More Glob. I almost fell asleep 1/2 through the issue. It’s so low tier mid but at least the art remains high quality with Diaz fighting for his life to make this script enticing.

Adams is starting to spin his wheels, and without Xermanico, the art is sort of warmed over.

So glad this series finally seems to have settled into a focused story and characters lately as Mora's art is just far to incredible to waste on average stories.

Fun read and Y2K's origin was hilarious but I'm worried the series will quickly start to lose appeal if Adams doesn't start to focus on a meaningful plot soon.

This issue was so much fun and surprised me at how much was crammed into the issue as it was such a breezey read. North is killing it!
Flash #33
Someone has hidden a nuke in Central City, and the Flash has minutes to find it before it goes off! Just one problem: Wally’s already checked everywhere. In fact, he’s actually been checking everywhere over and over for days due to the “putting yourself in danger” trend that’s been making his life a huge pain! But if the Flash can’t find the bomb a...
Prime,Superboy prime whatever you want to call him , I’ll just call him the best Superman right now. Don’t get me wrong I love Clark but this comic is so fun to read each month. Everything about it is just what I want in a comic. Action , some comedy. Interesting characters. The art is fantastic and Dan Mora looks like he’s having fun drawing these panels as well. Bravo to this team. The plot i more

I usually despise the whole “breaking the fourth wall” trope. I think Deadpool is a boring characters. Except for animal man, the meta thing is not really for me. Nevertheless, I love the prime centers Superman run. It’s unabashedly fun. I love the time tiny sprinkles of mata commentary: “why am i dressed like a vertigo character?” Or “don’t worry, it is just demons, Ana from legal”. I hope prime more

Sorry, but this is so much fun. REALLY fun. Hopefully, in the next issue, Prime will be confronted with his sins for real, without anyone interfering.
It's such a fun adventure, and well-drawn. I like that JW is using some long-forgotten secondary characters in this arc, which makes everything even better. For me, the best issue of the arc so far.

I had so much fun with this issue and the art is out of this world! Williamson and Mora have something really special going on here and Williamson's Superman run will go down as one of the all time greats (and he's very hit or miss for me).
I usually save 9.5's for a story with huge emotional weight, but this issue was so exciting and fun along with beyond perfect art that I couldn't go

Fantastic issue and so happy to have this creative team continue to show how Mikey is the heart of the team and not just a goofball which has been my biggest disappointment with Gene Luen Yang's otherwise great start.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #5
The epic of Battle Nexus concludes with the most emotionally devastating fight yet when Michelangelo faces off against an old friend long thought dead: It’s Slash! Once a mindless brute who grew to become one of the Turtles’ closest friends, Slash sacrificed himself to save all of Burnow Island. But how did he survive? How did he end up in the Batt...
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #4

But what he finds is something he never expected: himself. Meanwhile, Donatello is pitted against Metalhead, a robotic Ninja Turtle from another universe! Originally desi...
We get a completely different artist and art style in this issue and it's fantastic! I'm guessing Vitor Cafaggi was cast on this issue for their anthropomophic fox drawing skills, as they are excellent. We get not one, but two fox characters out of it, as some of Ninjara's backstory is revealed in the opening pages.
The emotions are raw, the line work is kinetic, the characters feel au

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Battle Nexus #3
As if the outcome of Leonardo vs. the original Shredder weren't shocking enough, the Ninja Turtles are blown away to discover they're not alone in the otherworldly realm of the Battle Nexus-or, indeed, in the universe itself. When the twisted battle master [REDACTED] calls for a wildcard match between former flames Raphael and Alopex, their prodigi...
Huge improvement with story and art here. Finally we're getting some substance and working out the emotional tension between Ralph and Alopex was great as I was disappointed in the absence of Ninjara's history with her Ralph.

Both the art and story are disappointing for an "event" with so many powerhouse TMNT creators involved.
