Laura Kinney: WOLVERINE #5 was the perfect balance of action, storytelling, humor, and sentiment. I had no idea how much I needed a team up between Bucky and Laura. They perfectly play off each other from their own fastball special to the old man jokes. One scene in particular felt like a moment we've seen a million times before, but then it took a turn. An amazing dark turn. Which led to a beautiful moment between a 100+ year old guy, and a very young mutant still figuring out life. Read Full Review
Schultz really ives into the darkness around the edges of the action. Her work on the series has had the opportunity to move in directions that havent always been totally accessivble to superhero comics. There are a couple of deaths in the issue that feel particularly heavy even though theyre not exactly major characters who have been around for very long. This is quite an accomplishment on Shchultzs part. Shes able to really lower the boom on a couple of homicides even though theyre not characters that had been all that prominent prior to...well...this particular issue actually. This issue is a quick, slick, action packed conclusion to the two issue arc which continues to have superb character dynamics, heaps of eye popping action and pulls no punches as Laura continues her journey as Wolverine. Read Full Review

Laura Kinney: Wolverine #5 doesn't just feature some beautifully drawn action, but it also takes a surprisingly nuanced approach to a Wolverine story.
