“We Are Yesterday” sets a new golden standard for DC's crossover events. This event was fun on so many levels. Both Justice League Unlimited and Batman/Superman: World's Finest continue to be wonderful ongoing reads, and I would highly recommend that you check out the collected editions if you want to see more from these creative teams. Lyles Movie Files - Jeffrey Lyles Jun 27, 2025

Grodd and his Legion of Doom got the drop on the JLU thanks to Grodd manipulating Air Wave, who's desperate to make amends no matter the cost. In a lot of ways, JLU 8 felt like a very strong conclusion to one of the amazing arcs in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon series. There's something for all DC fans here and once again this series reads like a Justice League book made for and created by major Justice League fans. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Kevin Rossi Jun 25, 2025

The conclusion of this issue leaves some interesting implications and sets up for something massive. Avoiding too many spoilers, the displaced heroes are in one place, and the uncontained Omega energy might just change the DC Universe as we know it. If this creative team has anything to do with what comes next, readers are in for greatness. Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield Jun 25, 2025

What intrigues me the most about this issue is the way it leaves so many unanswered questions, with the nature of time in the DCU being radically changed by the outcome. Fun, smaller-scale crossover that's likely leading up to something very big. Read Full Review

"We Are Yesterday ends on an electrifying note. Waid pens a high-action match-up for the ages. Mora's amazing imagery takes over, giving the larger than life crossover a fitting send-off. This event has lived up to its' billing and then some. Read Full Review

But Why Tho? - William Tucker Jun 25, 2025

Justice League Unlimited Issue 8 ends as madly as it began. It's been challenging to keep up with what's happening and follow each story thread, as many remain open. Read Full Review

    AIPT - Eric Thomas Jun 25, 2025

Though a convoluted conclusion to an equally convoluted crossover, it still has its saving graces and a heart in its protagonist. Unfortunately it can get lost in the superheroes versus supervillains of it all. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Akash Sil Jun 25, 2025

Jackson: The finale to Grodd's master plan feels less like the culmination of a carefully laid scheme and more like a frantic brawl. With the Omega MacGuffin in hand, the issue turns into a slugfest with about as many recognizable DC characters you could fit on a page charging one another. It's a very well drawn and visually exciting slugfest, but there's no room for a satisfying climax to the narrative. Read Full Review
