Plot
This issue includes a brief introduction to Simon and Albert's first adventure, which can be read in REDCOAT TP Volume 1 of this saga. It narrates how Albert Einstein's sister, Maja, interacts with Native Americans and how her magic allows her to have visions of Simon. This explanation ties up several loose ends from the first story arc.

Albert discovers that Benedict Arnold, the other immortal, has returned because a ship dredging the bay floor has moved the wreckage of the SS Majestic, which had trapped Benedict against the seabed. Because he is immortal, he never drowned, but for 17 years he was unable to move. Benedict possesses the Axe of Lies, the only weapon capable of killing both Simon and Arnold. Arnold emerges from the depths of the sea and kills six sailors with the axe.

Simon and Albert prepare to search for Arnold. Simon goes to his boss, the tailor, to tell him about his absence, only to discover Arnold trying on a suit. The two have a tense conversation while Simon takes his measurements, pretending everything is fine. Benedict doesn't threaten him; he accepts that Simon has surpassed him in every way and offers him and his family a gift: immortality.

A magnificent installment where Simon faces Arnold under immense pressure, with much to lose, and the mysterious supernatural theme of the origin of Simon's immortality once again shakes his new and beautiful life as a family man.

Bryan Hitch delivers his cinematic vision, directing mesmerizing action sequences and capturing the details and tones of each bygone era. The colors create the perfect atmosphere that transports you to the early 20th century.

His masterful use of scale is mesmerizing; he transports and shakes you with striking, realistic visions in a format very close to cinematic.

Summary
Simon and Albert prepare to search for Benedict Arnold, unaware that he has found them first. Supernatural mystery and plenty of suspense.

Plot
This special features several short stories from different creative teams, in black, white, and blood red:

“ARMS RACE” by TOM WALTZ, ALEX LINS, and CORY PETIT: set during the Korean War in the 1950s, where Wolverine is sent by the Canadian government, along with inexperienced and veteran soldiers, to be massacred by various Soviet experiments.


“TIMES SQUARE RED” by SALADIN AHMED, ADAM KUBERT, ARTHUR HESLI, and CORY PETIT: set in 1970s New York, where violence and serial killers were rampant, but they encounter this mutant with little patience and a lot of rage.


“RED CLAWS” by LARRY HAMA, DAVE WACHTER, and CORY PETIT: After escaping the painful and traumatic experiment of being WEAPON X, in his most savage state, he helps a family of wolves exact their revenge.

Pure greatness.

One of the best issues yet The Unknown War storyline looks like another masterpiece by Johns.

Slow ride with a disappointing cowardly act by the main character.

A great wrap up for another great product from Hyde Street/Ghost Machine.Great story with creepy, beautiful artwork.

Action packed murderous fun.

Plot
Cap, Bucky, and the Howling Commandos arrive at the H.Y.D.R.A. facility in Nazi-occupied France, following the trail of Dino, a member of the Howling Commandos who was kidnapped.

The massacre they witness is horrifying: thousands of H.Y.D.R.A. soldiers torn apart, their chests ripped open. They manage to speak with Dino, who warns them about Project Red King, explaining that Red Skull and Baron Strucker failed in their attempt to control the Xenomorphs. In seconds, his chest rips open, and an Alien devours Frenchie's face.

A Xenomorph attacks them and kills Dun Dun Duggan. Cap decapitates the Alien with his acid-immune shield, but an army of Xenomorphs attacks them. They are saved by a Kree robot sent by Captain Mar-Vell, who warns that he and his army are the planet's only hope.

A shocking chapter, full of action and explicit gore, where the story blends suspense and horror, and the fusion of these two universes is brilliant.

Art
It's organic, with many textures and lines that offer a gloomy and terrifying tone, perfect for the narrative of this story.

Summary
No one is safe from the Aliens in the Marvel universe, but they've already tested the vibranium in Steve Rogers' shield. Gore-filled horror in true Marvel style. more
