A fantastic read! I was on the fence about this one, but Marvel didn't pull any punches. These stories are raw and unique. The themes are well though out and a blast to engage with. The black, white, and blood gimmick was made for a just such a franchise! Read Full Review
Predator: Black, White & Blood #1 puts its own unique spin on Marvel's signature anthology, and delivers plenty of bloody Yautja action in the process. If you loved Predator: Killer of Killers or Prey, you need to pick up this comic. Read Full Review
I enjoyed all 3 stories. I'm looking forward to the next issue.
The first two stories were good, but the third story was GREAT. Always a good strategy to save the best for last, definitely put this one back in the bag and board feeling like I just read a great comic.
Plot
This special has several short stories from different creative teams:
“Bloodwood” Part 1. Writer: Joe Kelly, Artist: Álvaro Lopez: A young Predator is captured in the mining town of Ophir on the Australian border in the late 19th century, and, missing an arm, becomes the local fighting scene. This first part shows the evil side of humanity. The cool color palette balanced by red gives it a perfect vintage tone.
“Once and Future” Writer: Eliot Rahal, Artist: Brian Lebel, Color Artist: Lee Loughridge: An old man recalls with terror a bloody encounter with a Predator from the era of Arthurian knights. The story combines the horror of Predator space technology with classic sword and sorcery.
