    AIPT - David Brooke Jul 22, 2025

All in all, there's a good balance of humanizing the civilians, shining a light on the monsters, and setting up subplots for future plot development. Exquisite Corpses #3 is a chilling, character-driven chapter that deepens the horror and stakes with sharp dialogue, brutal tension, and a growing sense of dread and brought to life by compelling visuals and tight pacing. It's the kind of issue that crawls under your skin and lingers long after the final page. Read Full Review

Nerd Initiative - Richard Coryell Jul 23, 2025

Issue three does an excellent job of bringing the reader closer to the minds of the characters that are featured. Pornsak Pichetshote does a great job of humanizing characters and letting the reader get an insight into their emotions.Pichetshote includes significant elements of violence and horror in the issue, featuring a scene that suggests unsettling events may have occurred. The only flaw in this book is its slightly uneven pacing, which is noticeable but doesn't significantly affect the story's quality. Read Full Review

De Landro and Walsh deliver fantastic art throughout the issue. There is a visual beauty to the brutality and the imagery captures the tone and mood of the story. Read Full Review

Graphic Policy - Logan Dalton Jul 27, 2025

I'm still getting to know this book's sprawling cast of characters, but the creators do a good job of squeezing in human moments like 2 EMTS having a heart to heart or two young people trying to make a connection on the dance floor between the behind the scenes maneuvering and carnage. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Jul 25, 2025

Its always difficult to maintain a decent balance in comic book series that are driven by elimination competitions. (Its not a HUGE subgenre of action/suspense comics, but its been attempted enough time to comment on.) A clearer progression from one competition to the next might improve the appeal of the series. If nothing else, a simple preview of the next issues competition might serve to amplify anticipation for what awaits between the covers next month. The bracket-style progression of the story would lend itself much better to a more explicit competition format that would include little commentary and analysis packages that would increase the tension. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the rest of the story. I love these Battle Royale-style stories, even better when the participants have themes (like this issue's Nurse Pete). Some manga/anime I like in this genre are Killing Bites (animal themes) and Juni Taisen (surface level zodiac themes). There's more, but those are two of the top of my head. Anyway, loving this book so far.

I'm very confused by this story. Even Hunger Games had a main character. Here, it might as well be an anthology. In this issue, we have the story of Nurse Pete, who is a very bad boy. We haven't seen the soldier guy since issue #1. I thought he was going to be the main character, but he's been completely forgotten about. I'm not really liking how this story is being told.
