Audrey is desperate to make it home to take her son trick-or-treating, but she’ll be lucky to make it out alive when Big Bruce's car lot becomes the battleground for a long-simmering grudge match. The game gets brutally personal as breakout talent CHE GRAYSON (Dark Spaces: Good Deeds) and fan-favorite artist ADAM GORHAM (Hellhunters) join JAMES TYNION IV and MICHAEL WALSH for the next chapter of the horror event of the year!
Issue four once again delivers one hell of an action-packed thrill ride. Che Grayson steps in and really hits the reader with some suspense, mystery, and of course carnage. The connection between the Lady and the Fox lends itself to something bigger. At the same time showing some behind the scenes stuff with the cleaner really brings yet another aspect to the game. The violence is also turned up and you get the sense that this town is on the brink of collapse. Read Full Review
Gorham and Walsh craft fantastic art throughout the issue. The imagery is beautifully dark and matches the intensity of the story perfectly. Read Full Review
Exquisite Corpses #4 is a tense and bloody installment that shines through character-driven horror and visceral action, even if its finale stretches believability more than past issues. It continues to prove this series is a sleeper hit worth following closely, unless of course if you're a cool kid raring for more. Exquisite Corpses is always good for character-focused horror and thrilling action, solidifying the series as a must-read. Read Full Review
It was inevitable that there would be an issue in the series that might not necessarily feature an overt elimination of one of the contestants. Its interesting to see how everything is progressing with respect to the overall rhythm of the contest. Though there is a certain amount of elimination thats going to have to gradually happen over the course of the series, theres no question that there is going to be the occasional bloodbath, so relatively light issues like the fourth one could make for a potential bloody climax towards the end of the series. Exquisite Corpses #4 continues the engaging experiment in sequential art, albeit somewhat slow. There's depth to these characters and this world and the violence, when present, is ominous. I'll be curious to see how long and how far this continues, as so far only volume one of the trade has been announced. Read Full Review
I am loving this series more with every issue.
Yep still good.
I know many people like this series, but I feel like this story is all over this place with far too many threads. I thought the soldier from the first issue was going to be the hero of the story, but we haven't seen him or heard about him in 3 issues. I felt like this issue was a complete waste of time. We don't progress any part of the story except learning that Fox Killer had a kid that was murdered. It's not nearly enough.
