Violet is back from the dead! But things aren’t so simple…her spirit is trapped within Sophie. With one goal in mind—take down the sorority responsible for her death—Violet pressures Sophie to attend their rush event. But what lengths will Violet go to get her revenge? And will Sophie always have her friend’s back? Their sisterhood is put to the test...in blood.
Looking forward to seeing Violet fully get her revenge, and seeing how Sophie deals with it all. Sisterhood: A Hyde Street Story #2 moves the plot along beautifully, with some added emotional beats and some nicely-expressive art. And read past the story for some fun bonuses! Read Full Review
There's a feeling of dread and atmosphere throughout the book, with complex main characters and vivid artwork amplifying the story's chills. Read Full Review
Leiz delivers stunning imagery throughout the issue. I love the art and how it captures and enhances the tone and mood of the story. Read Full Review
Sisterhood is slowly leaning further into the dark tone of other Hyde Street stories, but this more deliberate pace allows for stronger character development and a more engaging tale. These types of Hyde Street mini-series seem like a great opportunity for long form storytelling. Read Full Review
Above all, Sophie and Vi continue to be really compelling characters. And there's an interesting curve thrown at the end of the issue that suggest that there is more going on than a cheesy horror plot. This is very reassuring. It's important to hit those moments of idiosyncratic complexity as they are really integral to the Hyde Street brand. Read Full Review
SISTERHOOD: A HYDE STREET STORY #2 has gorgeous, detailed art and expressive colors that try their best to carry a story hobbled by glacial pacing and awkward plotting. The art is beautiful, but the story doesn't flow, with dialogue and plot that clank instead of sing. Unless you came for the visuals, this one's haunted more by boredom than by ghosts. This was a great issue with awesome artwork.Im looking forward to the next issue.
Boring. I think I'll skip the rest of the mini series. Leila Leiz's art looks somewhat better than last issue though.
