Action Comics #1020 feels very amateurish. Besides the very distracting art by Romita, Jr. and Janson, Bendis's story is just not working.

Derek: Justice League Vs. The Legion of Super-Heroes #1has me feeling somewhat ambivalent. This title has a lot of potential, but I don't know if Bendis' story is going to realize it. He has done some good writing in the past, but his recent work doesn't give me a lot of faith that he will again. On the other hand, at least it looks nice, thanks to Godlewski's art.

Come to a different world, a Gotham that is both different and familiar. Any fan of Fables will get what's going on and feel the same emotions that Willingham delivered in Fables. For readers that aren't well-versed in superhero comics, this is a series that will give you a fresh look as well. Rife with bits and pieces from both Fables and Batman's multimedia appearances, Batman vs Bigby! A Wolf in Gotham #2 builds on its many foundations.

The mystery gets a bit more complex as does the exploration of Batman's "fairy tale." It's subtle at times, but it really does promise something special to come when Batman has to accept a giant talking wolf. Take a moment to enjoy the art as well as it emphasizes the aspects of Batman as a "fairy tale."

This has been a fun story that showed there's potential for more crossovers with traditional DC Universe concepts.

Batman Vs Bigby #4 comes together wonderfully as background details are filled in. Interestingly, Bookworm jumps out as the star of this issue as the extent of his competency is revealed. It's also gratifying to see Batman and Bigby finally working together, even if they maybe haven't got it all figured out just yet. What is clear though, is that the last two issues will be barn burners, because this has been the best issue of the series so far!

Batman vs Bigby! A Wolf In Gotham #5 is the perfect penultimate chapter. Coupled with some really exciting visual moments it lands as the best issue in the series, and obviously at the perfect time. Next month's finale should prove to be not only nostalgic for fans of Fables, but an enjoyable conclusion to this unique crossover.
