Thoroughly enjoyable, plenty promising.

Jeanty is given the 'Verse to play in and redefine, and even though there's still a lot of areas in the book that are dominated by negative space, the parts where he really stretches his wings and tries something new have major pay-offs visually.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 10 #1 is a refreshing, energetic issue sure to win over both long-term readers and those who have drifted away for one reason or another. Based on their tenure on Angel and Faith alone, with Gage and Isaacs at the helm the book seemed to be in the best possible hands, and for me, this issue backs that up all the way.

It's full of great moments, characters I love being treated well, but some sloppy dispensing of Jubal Early and the over-crowding of plot has worked against it.
