X-Men: Battle of the Atom #1 |

First impressions are important. This issue not only succeeded as an excellent introduction to a huge fall event for the X-Men, but it also converted this reviewer into an X-Men reader. I seriously can't wait to play catch up. |

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #1 |

Superior Foes of Spiderman #1 is a great issue; however it's too soon to make a definitive statement about the future of this series. With fresh young talent found in Nick Spencer and the brilliant art direction of Steve Lieber, I know this new Sinister Six is in great hands. They must remember to take risks however in order to set themselves apart. |

Guardians of the Galaxy (2013) #5 |

This is a decent issue, a definite worth read for the avid fan.But it's not stellar by any means, and that may not be enough for Guardians of the Galaxy to garner new fans " at least from the comic book front. I expect more out of this all-star cast, and I know they'll get out of this slump soon enough. |

Guardians of The Galaxy #4 issue leaves much to be desired but isn't all negative, with the payoff leaving this reviewer waiting with bated breath. |

Superior Foes of Spider-Man #3 |
Nov 3, 2013 |
My primary concern is that the risks that are being taken are occurring to soon in this story's life cycle. I feel like the team may have tried to fix something that wasn't broken, which concerns me. I like the willingness to take risks as this fearlessness is key to making your book thrive. I commend the effort, but I don't think this was the best choice. Hopefully we will see some a recapturing of the throne in future issues. |
