Dragon Age: Deception #1
Oct 17, 2018 |
Dragon Age: Deception is a solid read for a fantasy book, as well as one of the strongest tie-in's that I've ever read and even though it was a bit difficult to maneuver through the lore and language, the first issue of Dragon Age: Deception was entertaining enough to make me, a non-Dragon Age fan very excited! |

Dragon Age: Deception #2
Nov 14, 2018 |
If I had one bad thing to say about the second issue of Dragon Age: Deception is that it ended. It left me wanting much more and really excited about the next issue. While it's a strange way for most people to get into a video game property, Dragon Age: Deception is making a strong case for myself and what I've been missing out on in the last few years. Highly Recommended! |

Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: 1956 #1
Nov 28, 2018 |
Compared to the other series that have come out of Hellboy and the B.P.R.D., this is the first time that feels like its going to contribute significantly in the long run. Many of the previous issues have been good, but never as great as the main B.P.R.D. series or Hellboy itself. 1956 is the first time that Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. feel as relevant and important to the "Mignolaverse" as a whole and I can't wait to see where it goes from here! |

B.P.R.D.: The Devil You Know #11
Dec 5, 2018 |
There have been some genuine unsettling things happening in the last few issues of the B.P.R.D. and issue 11 of B.P.R.D. The Devil You Know is most certainly one of the strongest examples of it. There's no way that someone can read this and be rewarded without having read years of the B.P.R.D. comics, but if you've already been keeping up, this issue provides some strongest work from Mignola and Company. Both gripping and terrifying, the latest issue of B.P.R.D. is some of the best stuff on the comics can provide. |

Crimson Lotus #1
Nov 21, 2018 |
This first issue of Crimson Lotus left me wanting more. The horror elements were as strong as The Crooked Man, which most Hellboy fans consider some of the most unsettling and made it a point to get under my skin. While the uninitiated might enjoy Crimson Lotus #1, this book really is for fans of the Hellboy books, to begin with. For those that haven't read a Hellboy book ever, you still might enjoy aspects of this book, due to its strong writing and slick artwork, so either way, I'd recommend it! |

Lone Ranger (2018) #1
Oct 11, 2018 |
I've never even cared to bother with anything related to The Lone Ranger. Yet, I cannot deny that this book is an absolute treasure and kept me wanting more. Maybe it's the fact that its different from most of the superhero fare that's out there. All I know is that I want more of this Lone Ranger and I can't wait to read what's next! |

Lone Ranger (2018) #2
Nov 14, 2018 |
This new iteration of The Lone Ranger is one of the best things on the comic racks and some of the best work that I've encountered this year. It's well plotted, has really good character work and contains great writing and art. While I've never been a fan of The Lone Ranger, Mark Russell and Bob Q are definitely doing their best to make me a convert. |

William Gibson's Alien 3 #1
Nov 14, 2018 |
If you're a fan of the Alien franchise or you're a fan of the Alien comics, there's enough here to get people excited. The team on it is doing a fantastic job and I'm pretty confident that the rest of this mini-series is going to be more than excellent. |
