While this comic was somewhat entertaining, I felt that the plot was too random and didn't really make sense to me. Now I'll admit I haven't read a ton of Archie comics and I certainly haven't cracked the cover on one in probably twenty years, so maybe this is exactly the kind of storytelling that happens in these comic books. If so, then an Archie fan might appreciate this more than I did, but I just couldn't get past the randomness of the story and the way that it wrapped up in the end.

The story was fast moving and the artwork was amazing. Really crisp and colorful panels made this comic book a pleasure to read. I'm not a Warhammer fan, so I probably missed a lot of references, but there was enough interesting things going on here to make me curious to check out the game.

This was an okay read" not too long or complicated. The artwork is excellent and it's a fun little story based on the Evil Dead franchise, but it fails in that it concentrates on a new character, missing the elements that make the series so great " namely Bruce Campbell's Ash. His character gets relegated to the sidelines with only a few lines of dialogue, two of which are just "groovy". I get that the first issue is a freebie and is meant to tease the three issue series enough to get my interest, but I'm not sure I'd pay money for the second issue unless I knew it had more Ash and less Annie.

While the general themes of this comic book were interesting, I just didn't feel like they pulled it off well enough for me to want to see what happens in the second issue and that's a shame.

The end of the comic gives a brief preview of the next issue along with the main cover and variant cover for #1 and the main cover for #2, which features Noah Bennett and the Haitain on the cover! This first issue was very interesting and drawn well. I want to see more, so it piqued my interest. Her character was very important in the Heroes Reborn television show and I'm curious to see how she got to where she was in the show from where she is now in the comics.

The end of the comic shows us the main cover and variant cover for issue #2 as well as a short feature on how the artist developed the look for Farah. There is also a feature on how artist Roy Allan Martinez developed the variant cover for this issue, from initial sketch to inking and coloring. Finally, the issue closes with the main cover for issue #3. This was another excellent issue, moving along at a good pace and keeping it interesting.

This concluding issue was just okay for me. There wasn't a lot of plot to this one and other than the surprise bad guy reveal and the parent reveal. The comic book was skimpy on extra features and didn't share any details on who the next series would feature.

This issue had a lot more going for it. The story was interesting and the illustrations didn't bother me as much this month. The issue also includes a variant cover as well as a gallery of other variant covers for issue #1 that featured other Heroes Reborn characters such as HRG and Miko. It also hada tease to the next issue where we see a priest on the cover of Heroes Vengeance #3. If you watch the show like I do, then you will recognize the character ofFather Mauricio Chavez here. In the show, the Father is a friend to the Gutierrez family (and turns out he's an EVO too!). I'm intrigued to find out more about how he came into their lives and plays such an important ally for them on the television show.

This month's issue was fairly action-packed in terms of moving the storyline along.

At the end there are four pages of really interesting information about luchadores (wrestlers), including a brief history of lucha libra (free wrestling), glossary of terms and moves, the rules of wrestling, famous luchadores and some of the psychology behind the colorful masks these wrestlers wear. The issue also includes a variant cover as well as a tease to the finalissue where we see a mysterious looking wrestler on the cover of Heroes Vengeance #5. This issue was all over the place and felt like it was too short. Not enough scenery chewed up for my tastes, so I'm giving it a 7 out of 10. I hope the final issue wraps it all up nicely.

This last issue teases the next five issue mini-series, Godsend. Heroes: Godsend explores the origins of (former soldier, protector of Malina) Farah Nazan, starting with her life as a student in New York City. After a devastating incident shatters her life " and the city " Farah starts to discover mysterious new powers. Events then bring her into contact with numerous familiar faces from Heroes Reborn (and Heroes), and we also meet a couple of brand new, intriguing villains! Joey Falco, one of the Heroes Reborn: Event Series writers, provides the scripts, with comic superstar Roy Allan Martinez creating the artwork. There are several pages of artwork and interviews with Joey and Roy. There is also two variant covers for the first issue of Heroes: Godsend, available now. The issue closes with a variant cover for Vengeance #5.

The extras in Reggie and Me #1 include an introduction to classic Reggie by Tom DeFalco (first appearance was in 1942), a classic comic referenced in the introduction, some other titles in the Archie series, a tease of issue #2, a slew of variant covers, and an advertisement for Riverdale, a new live-action series debuting on The CW, based on characters from the Archie comic books.

There are also several variant covers and ads for other comics based on individual characters like Jughead and Betty & Veronica that look interesting, but for now…I'll keep to this new one. I wasn't sure how dark would play with such light-hearted source material, but I'm willing to give it a chance after seeing this first issue.

While the Spider-Man story has been done to death, this issue manages to present it in a refreshing way that might turn a new generation onto the Amazing Spectacular Spider-Man.
