Aquaman (2011) #9 |
May 29, 2012 |
If this were a review of the last three of four pages of the comic, it'd be rated much higher. As it is, the fight scenes (while fun) were not all that different to what we've seen previously in this comic. With the gripping cliff-hanger Johns has left us with, though, #10 promises to be a must-buy. |

The Massive #7 |

An entertaining read and a solid entry into the series so far. While there are some pacing problems and scenes that are not as strong as others, the good far outweighs the bad. Character interaction and dialogue is a strength here, while the art and choice of colour makes the story a vivid and unique visual experience. |

Mind the Gap #8 |
Mar 17, 2013 |
If you've come this far into the story of Mind the Gap, chances are you don't need to be told to buy the next issue to get the payoff from this one - you'll know that this is a slow burn story where the answers aren't going to come straight away. But if you're looking to get into reading Mind the Gap, now would be an interesting time. With a recap page and a character sheet at the beginning, you should be able to catch up quite easily. |

Mind the Gap #9 |
Apr 5, 2013 |
This issue was like a shot of adrenaline into the chest for Mind the Gap. Where the series had somewhat stagnated in the previous two issues, this one speeds everything up and dials the action up, too. As a theatre and arts student myself, it was great seeing some of the references to that world and just how important stage is to these characters. There's a lot happening here if you can interpret the art and the character developments are just as important and entertaining as those pertaining to the story. The cliffhanger definitely leaves McCann's audience eagerly awaiting more. |

The Massive #8 |
Feb 15, 2013 |
Things are moving along nicely in this issue. The story carries on at a fast-pace that makes us devour each page with ferocious eagerness and rewards us every time. The art is solid and captures the essence of the issue but it is the cliffhanger that really sticks with us and makes this another great entry into an already great series. |
