From writer Ryan Parrott (VOLITION) and artist Milos Slavkovic (Lightstep), OBERON is a new supernatural adventure proving once and for all that fairies should never be trusted.
This fantasy without the sugar coating is delicious. Young Bonnie finds herself in the world of the old as a useful pawn for Oberon. The story is fun, scary, and all ages appropriate. The narration by the title character definitely puts the edge onto every page. The visuals are like a dream brought to life. There is every type of wonder and nightmare on display in sumptuous colors. This is the book to give to naysayers who say comic books are for little kids. Absolutely recommended. Read Full Review
The book begins its full move forward here with what Oberon is up to as Bonnie faces her first test with no preparation and no real understanding of it. Which is probably some of the point when you get down to it in order to understand what she is and if she has some real magic to her. It's a solidly put together book with the story that we get and while it doesn't give us any answers we do get an expansion on the world itself and some of Oberon's machinations. Milos Slavkovic definitely delivers a fantastic looking book once again and it just left me enjoying paging through it after the first read to look at the color design work and the way everything moves as smoothly as it does. I'm looking forward to more. Read Full Review
