Artist Giovanni Timpano's dystopic vision is one of the book's strongest selling point. The slightly Blade Runner-esque feel of his settings adds a gritty futuristic flare to Golem that greatly benefits Goldstein's story. The plot twist at the end might feel a bit rushed, but it's interesting nonetheless. The Golem #1 isn't a flawless homerun but it's enough to make one eager to find out where Goldstein and Timpano are going to take Danya next. Read Full Review
