Set up and then abandoned by his hero and mentor, podling Hup has no choice but to fulfill the promises Barfinnious made to the village, and fight the great Beast that has been plaguing them. Armed only with his trusty spoon and his culinary wits, will Hup succeed in saving the village, or is something darker lying in wait for him?
Sometimes writing in an established world with established characters is very difficult. On top of that, Hup gets his development in the Netflix series. This arc is simply Act One but we don't get an Act Two where Hup is the main character until the show. However, if you look past that to some of the other characters; you will find deep character development and a rich lore. Read Full Review
