Mordecai and Rigby star in their very first original graphic novel for REGULAR SHOW™-it's a longform story that will be like watching one of their TV episodes. And we're pretty excited about the team on this: Cartoon Network veteran Rachel Connor (Ed, Edd n Eddy) and Bravest Warriors artist Tessa Stone!

The summer is turning into a roastfest and Mordecai and Rigby are desperate to find a way to cool down. But when a mystery pool suddenly appears and offers a chance to beat the heat, it's only a matter of time before these two best bros find themselves in totally waterlogged. trouble.

We The Nerdy - Kierra Prince Sep 12, 2014

Tessa Stone has great colorful art and its, as always, a delight. She's also worked on the other Regular Show comics as well as the Adventure Time comics and her body of work proves that she's one of the better cartoon artists out there right now. Colors are bright and cheerful, there's a great attention to detail, and fight scenes are amazingly done. In fact, Stone's artwork in here is almost exactly like the show's only more colorful and brighter as the show tends to be a little muted in that regard. Stone also does a really great job with 8-bit artwork during the few video game panels we see and classic gaming fans will certainly appreciate the nice jokes about old games that Connor and Stone pull of hilariously (lava levels is all I'm going to say). There isn't any profound musings on life in Regular Show: Hydration, and it's not really doing anything that anyone else is doing, but it's impressively done. It's certainly not without its issues, but it's worth purchasing. It fills two voids and it fills them well; the comic industry has an all-ages graphic novel that it can be proud of.
