The Theft
Roark Ambrose has a family legacy surrounded in death and misery. He leads a tough life at a young age. Abandoned after the death of his parents, his only hope is to find a mysterious gun his father had hidden for him somewhere out on the Western frontier. He embarks on a journey with his friend William to try and find the gun. Will its discovery be his way towards to a new life or will it lead toward a similar violent fate that his father met?
Overall, the comic is a coming of age story which shows readers that this series will be more than your typical Western, one that transcends genres on the strength of these two storytellers. The story by Matt Durand is action packed and bittersweet. The art by Taylan Kurtulus is vivid and gorgeous. Altogether, an excellent tale of two friends whose kinship outlasts them both.
