The mystery thickens, while the intelligence of the heroes seems to lessen. Given the heroes' past exploits, I would think they'd be smarter in figuring out what the company was doing with the colonists, even if they're observing them from a distance. The visuals are really good. The art and the colors create a really strong sense of terror around every corner, in and outside the ships. I'm still on board for more of this series, but I'm hoping the leads are better than this one plot point. Read Full Review

Robert Careys art is great. He was able to take a thin story and visually make it look interesting. There was a lot of atmosphere in the art and that helped to make the thin plotting more engaging. Read Full Review

Aliens: Resistance is moving along pretty solidly here and I just love exploring some of the concepts of what this timeline would look like. That Weyland-Yutani would have black sites on small rocks orbiting moons and other worlds is obviously something that you'd expect and seeing how it unfolds and getting the first taste of what it is they're orchestrating with the synthetics is intriguing. We don't have enough to go on at this point but I love that we're getting something creative here instead of derivative of what the films have turned into. Wood and Carey are doing solid work here and I'm excited to see what the bigger plan is. Read Full Review

Aliens: Resistance #2 gives us another solid issue for everything compelling about these characters and the fight that they are ready to see through to the end. If you didn't understand what was personally at stake for both Zula and Amanda, then you now have a better idea of that and what they are now joining forces to combat. Read Full Review

The story hots up for the two central characters as the creators throw then into a deeply atmospheric narrative. What this comic lacks in character it more than makes up for with setting and tone. Read Full Review

Final Verdict: 7.0" Though the slower pacing helps to acclimate new readers to the world of “Alien,” some awkward lettering choices leave much to be desired in terms of clarity. Read Full Review
