A defiant Iosif launches a full-scale assault against the Zinco tower, confident that his troops can make short work of its monster security. Meanwhile, Liz goes after the Black Flame. Unfortunately for her, the Flame knows it was Liz who killed him. And this time, he’s the one in control.
This is shaping up to the be the most important Mignolaverse story in years. The world is at stake, so why wouldn't it be? You could try looking for a better book, but, to quote a character in this issue, "You won't." Highest possible recommendation. Read Full Review

So far, the Reign of the Black Flame arc has been among the very best in all of the B.P.R.D.s long history. Issue #117 was jam-packed with more action than typically expected but Mignola and Arcudi dont neglect the overall story for a moment. This is a really special arc, and the team dynamic is back in full force again with some fantastic new additions to the series. You sense the depths below you, but what swims there you dont know. All in all, this comic gets a recommendation but I will say that if you haven't been following the series, this is the farthest thing you can come to for a jumping on point. But in terms of straight action it's one of the best comics I've read in a while. Read Full Review
an explosive issue packed with action, but jumping between teams gets messy and confusing. one of the better issues of the arc. Still a recommended series IMHO.
